Ethiopia pioneers move into new convent

nov 2014 ethiopia pioneers 250x25026 NOV, 2014. Our three Ethiopia pioneers have finally moved into their new home, the newly constructed SSL Convent in the town of Dawhan.  More than a year after arriving in Ethiopia, Benedicta Boakye-Yiadom SSL, Ijanada Emmanuel SSL and Justina Ihechere SSL have finally unpacked their bags and are now settled in to their new home.

Despite the challenges of the new convent construction, the sisters have begun their ministry in the local kindergarten, located very near the convent, where they teach English for one hour each day.

The sisters are kept busy planning for 2015 and are in discussion with the local women of the town in relation to their needs and hopes. They also spend time each day tending to the trees they have planted and looking after their chickens.

For more information on how the sisters are doing in their mission in Ethiopia, check out Issue 36 of our monthly newsletter, Musings.
