24 FEB, 2016. St Mel School in Woodland Hills recently honored the Sisters of St Louis for their more-than fifty years of service in the parish and school at the morning Mass in the parish. The entire student body, parents, teachers and friends were in attendance, where the Sisters received a standing ovation, blessings from the students and yellow roses.
Last November the Dandy Award, which is presented twice each year by the National Catholic Board on Full Inclusion, was given to Stacy Reineman SSL, Principal at Nativity School in El Monte, and to Fr Alberto and the faculty of the school in recognition of their full inclusion of children with disabilities.
