New classrooms for St Mary’s School, Ijio

ijioclassroom 250x25028 FEB, 2018. A huge “Thank You” to Misean Cara, the international and Irish faith-based funding agency, who grant-aided the funding of a block of six classrooms for St Mary’s Catholic Nursery and Primary School, Ijio, Oyo State. In addition to the classrooms, the school has also been secured by perimeter fencing, which keeps intruders, passersby and animals out. The fallow land can now produce green food as a result of this extra security. Flowers will hopefully spring up soon, to beautify the compound.

St Mary Catholic Nursery and Primary School, Ijio, Oyo, Nigeria was established in 1988. The Sisters of St Louis have run the school on behalf of Oyo Catholic diocese since 1994, when it became fully owned by the diocese. The school is highly subsidised for the poor and deserving people of Ijio town.
