Finola Cunnane SSL is the coordinator of the St Louis Schools’ Network. She reflects on the past year of the network which focused on Gender Equality, Global Goal 5 of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Continuing Professional Development courses took place for teachers, and for students they had workshops and training events. Student groups undertook research on this topic and presented their findings at the annual St Louis Schools’ Network Day on March 28. Gender equality was also the topic of all four rounds of the second year of the St Louis Schools’ Network Debating League, the title of which was retained by St Louis High School, Rathmines.
