Last month, the sisters from Moynihan Court, Tallaght, Co Dublin, Ireland, celebrated Sr Mairead Hughes’ 39 years of life and ministry in Tallaght. The sisters and local community in Tallaght are sad to see Mairead go, but wish her well in her future home in 8 Grosvenor Road, Rathmines.
Tallaght in west Dublin is a big place, but definitely one of its best-known citizens is Mairead Hughes. Mairead was one of the Founding Directors of Youth Horizons in Jobstown in 1987 to address local community needs in West Tallaght, especially the lack of educational facilities for young people.
