Tree Planting Project – celebrating a greener Ghana

18 December, 2024

Planting trees is one of the most effective and accessible ways to combat climate change and promote environmental sustainability. Trees absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen into the atmosphere; carbon dioxide is one of the greenhouse gases that causes global warming and so, by planting trees we are helping to reduce the carbon dioxide levels in the earth’s atmosphere. To be able to support the negative impacts of climate change, the Sisters of St Louis in Ghana engaged in a Tree Planting Project starting in June of this year.
