Maireád Hughes SSL was honoured by the Jobstown community at an event in the Address Hotel on May 9, which paid tribute to her contribution to that community over four decades. She was a chaplain in Jobstown Community College (now Mount Seskin) in 1987, when she co-founded Youth Horizons with the late Dr Kate Ganter (child and adult psychiatrist) and Fr Denis O’Connor CSSR (Medical doctor and curate in Jobstown Parish). Youth Horizons has been an amazing success story that has responded to the needs of young people in Jobstown, and is still going strong today.
