The St Louis Altar Bread Project situated on the grounds of St Louis Secondary School, Bompai, Kano, Nigeria, has a long history of serving the Catholic community. Since the arrival of the Sisters of St Louis in Kano in February 1948, the project has met the needs of local churches by providing altar bread for the celebration of Holy Mass. The Project currently serves six dioceses in Northern Nigeria, including Kano, Katsina, Maiduguri, Kaduna, Zaria, and Kafanchan, providing them with a regular supply of altar bread. This project is indispensable, supporting the community’s spiritual life.
