The AAVE Group recently celebrated 30 years since its founding in 1995 – three decades of commitment, support, and solidarity with families living with HIV/AIDS in the metropolitan region of Goiânia, Brazil. Present at the celebration were the Irish Ambassador, Martin Gallagher, the Deputy Head of Mission at the Irish Embassy, Maurice Nolan, Bishop José Roberto (Archdiocese of Goiânia), dignitaries representing the Hospital for Tropical Diseases where our service users receive treatment, representatives of politicians who are “friends of AAVE”, supporters, donors, volunteers and over 50 service users.
