The Sisters of St Louis Community-Based Rehabilitation (SSL-CBR) Programme and the Ondo State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology have called for stronger commitment to inclusive education in Ondo State to ensure that children with intellectual disabilities and other disabilities enjoy equal access to quality education. The call was made during the “We Ring the Bell” Disability Awareness Programme, organized by the Sisters of St Louis Community-Based Rehabilitation (SSL-CBR) Programme in collaboration with the Ondo State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) is a multi-stakeholder approach that is used to promote and protect the rights of children with disabilities and provide equal opportunities for them. Strategies are implemented through the combined effort of people with disabilities, their families, organizations and communities, and relevant governmental and non-governmental organisations in the areas of health, education, vocational, social, and other services.
