History made as first SSL called to the Nigerian Bar

calltothebar 250x2501 AUG, 2018. Rachel Ibipomola Abimbola Alonge SSL will never forget Tuesday, July 10, 2018, as on that day, she was called to the Nigerian Bar. The Nigeria Province of the Sisters of St Louis are proud of their own barrister, the first of its kind. Eight sisters from the Kano, Zonkwa, Gwagwalada-Abuja and Ondo communities were present to celebrate the occasion with Sr Rachel. The event took place at the International Conference Centre, Abuja. There were 562 successful candidates in the April 2018 Bar final exams across the country. Sr Rachel’s biological sisters, and some relatives and friends were present to congratulate her. The reception followed in the compound next to the conference centre, where they had their own canopy, and where they relaxed, wined and dined. The “Call to Bar” cake was and photographs were taken. It was a day the Lord had made.

Congratulations Sister Rachel. More grace as you chart a new phase of your life as God’s instrument of Justice and Peace in Nigerian Society and in the Church.
