Blessing of new SSL community in Savè, Republic of Benin

blessing of Save 250x25028 MAR, 2019. God has blessed the Institute of the Sisters of St Louis with a new community in the city of Savè, Republic of Benin. Opened and blessed on February 19, 2019, the long-awaited community is part of the Nigeria Province, with Constance Dibie SSL and Theresa Peter Sheyin SSL having been missioned there from Nigeria.

The blessing ceremony involved both a blessing of the new missionaries, and a blessing of the house. Bridget Agum SSL (Provincial Leadership Team member), lit a candle and prayed with missionaries Constance Dibie SSL and Theresa Peter Sheyin SSL. Père Fidèle Dakpo, Assistant Parish Priest at Saint Joseph’s, Savè, then blessed the new house in the presence of Bridget Agum SSL, Constance Dibie SSL, Agnes Abba SSL, six postulants and our two drivers - Moses, for the Dassa Formation house, and Alphonse for Akpassi community.
