30 MAR, 2020. The Sisters of St Louis’ Extended Leadership Team Meeting, which takes place every four years, took place in the Ballyvaloo Retreat Centre, Co Wexford, from March 1-13, 2020. The CLT and Leadership Teams had been preparing for this meeting for nearly a year, so everyone arrived well prepared.
The ELM began with a beautiful welcome and opening ritual led by the CLT. The aim of this ELM was to review the current situation of the Institute and to discern communally a way forward in a contemplative atmosphere. Specifically, the purposes of the 2020 ELM included: forming a discerning intercultural community; reflecting together on the Six Steps of Restructuring and discern how to move them forward; continuing our reflection on Mission based on the dreams gathered from Assembly Two; gathering some wisdom towards preparations for General Chapter 2021; and supporting each other in our leadership ministry and looking at leadership into the future.
There was a lot of energy, great participation, openness and willingness to share with one another in the group. The days were spirit-filled, as together, we lived out Sint Unum.
