Sisters of St Louis Extended Leadership Meeting (ELM) takes place in Ireland

elm 200x20030 MAR, 2020. The Sisters of St Louis’ Extended Leadership Team Meeting, which takes place every four years, took place in the Ballyvaloo Retreat Centre, Co Wexford, from March 1-13, 2020. The CLT and Leadership Teams had been preparing for this meeting for nearly a year, so everyone arrived well prepared.

The ELM began with a beautiful welcome and opening ritual led by the CLT. The aim of this ELM was to review the current situation of the Institute and to discern communally a way forward in a contemplative atmosphere. Specifically, the purposes of the 2020 ELM included: forming a discerning intercultural community; reflecting together on the Six Steps of Restructuring and discern how to move them forward; continuing our reflection on Mission based on the dreams gathered from Assembly Two; gathering some wisdom towards preparations for General Chapter 2021; and supporting each other in our leadership ministry and looking at leadership into the future.

There was a lot of energy, great participation, openness and willingness to share with one another in the group. The days were spirit-filled, as together, we lived out Sint Unum.
