World AIDS Day celebrated by sisters in Brazil and Nigeria

world aids day 250x25022 DEC, 2021. World AIDS Day was celebrated by sisters in Brazil and Nigeria. The AAVE Group, in Goiânia, Brazil, which was co-founded by Margaret Hosty SSL to support people living with HIV/AIDS, has commemorated World AIDS Day on December 1 since its foundation in 1995. This year it conducted an awareness campaign around HIV/AIDS, through interviews on TV and radio shows, social networks, a publication in a national newspaper, and presentations at Masses and to parish groups. In Nigeria, Augusta Ozor SSL and approximately 10 members of staff and 10 members of the HIV support group at Our Lady Catholic Hospital, Iseyin, organized health talks, an awareness campaign on the streets of Iseyin and free HIV testing to mark World AIDS Day.
