30 APR, 2013. On August 25 this year, Nigeria will celebrate the 50th anniversary of its Novitiate in Akure. Celebrations leading up to this milestone date are already underway, and on February 23, masses were celebrated in different Nigerian SSL communities.

27 MAR, 2013. Uainín Clarke SSL recently spent a week in Ethiopia and witnessed the progress made in the establishment of a new SSL mission in the Adigrat province. Even though she spent a relatively short time there, she marvelled at how her heart was touched by so many significant encounters she had and how the whole experience continues to nourish her.

27 FEB, 2013. Dorothy Yayock SSL is the first Sister of St Louis in Nigeria to celebrate her Golden Jubilee. Her jubilee celebrations officially began on February 6, 2013 in Gidan Mariya.

30 JAN, 2013.  There was a double reason to celebrate at the parish of Bury St Edmunds on December 8, 2012. It’s a major feast in the Church’s calendar, but the parish also had a historical reason to celebrate it. It was the 250th anniversary of the first Mass celebrated in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel in 1762.

29 NOV, 2012.  Drumalis in Northern Ireland was the venue for the first-ever International Sisters of St Louis Education Forum, which took place from October 21 to 27, 2012. Participants from all regions - California, England, France, Ghana, Ireland and Nigeria – attended this milestone event.

18 DEC, 2012.  On September 15, Patricia Ebegbulem SSL and 15 other religious received the highest Papal honour for consecrated persons, the Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice medal, in recognition of their years of commitment and service to the church in Nigeria.
